IRO timber is a new and exclusive range of timber cladding and decking products that has been developed by the UK’s largest sawmilling group, BSW Timber.
Japanese process of Yakisugi
The range is available in 10 exclusive colours, from mountain grey to sunset orange, and adds a splash of colour to any environment. Inspired by yakisugi, the process of charring the timber, IRO – which is Japanese for ‘colour’ is crafted using an intricate seven-step process that uses the most innovative timber technology.
Each stage contributes to our products’ texture, durability, and appearance. The result is a versatile product that blends seamlessly into any environment, whether it’s the countryside or city.
IRO is UV-stable, low-maintenance, long-lasting, and HVOC-free, meaning the product is both child-friendly and pet-friendly.
IRO is heat enhanced and coated in a wood cream
This makes the product more durable and offers a more striking grain appearance than its traditional cladding and decking counterparts.
